Artist Statement

As an artistic mixed media professional Trinity is always looking for the next opportunity to translate what she experiences into her art. While the work addresses her viewpoint on the world around her she also uses her moods to carry her to work on a piece. Trinity's art focuses on her identity and feelings while she explores herself through the art. She is experimental with these topics by addressing the characteristics that determine her personal and social identity. Trinity has experienced a range of media, although she has her particular preferences, like painting, photography, and screen printing. She sometimes combines all of these mediums to create hectic imagery. To her, a mixed media artist practices and experiments with two or more mediums. Therefore she doesn’t limit herself to one medium and tries to learn what mediums works best together. Mix media to her is almost like finding yourself, you try out a hobby or career to see if it suits your personality. She likes to experiment with these mediums so she doesn’t feel confined by just sticking to one medium. In doing so she experiments with the after-effects these mediums have on each other to see if they’ll create something new or just overlay on each other. This process inspires her to keep going till it feels right.
